It represents the causes we care about, the organizations we partner with and the communities that are working hard to make a difference by providing accessible health equity services for their neighbors.
Renton School District seeks to provide their student with the services they need to succeed. To do this, Renton School District and its health and social services partners, formed the Renton Referral Hub. The Renton Referral Hub is a simple and secure way to connect your student to access health and social services in your community. TeamBirth ensures people giving birth and the clinicians who are caring for them have shared input and decision making during labor and delivery. Ariadne Labs is partnering with the Washington State Hospital Association (WSHA) to implement TeamBirth across Washington State birthing hospitals. Over the next three years, Washington State birthing hospitals will participate in one of four cohorts. Each cohort will receive personalized training, support, and materials for implementation in their facility. Check out the TeamBirth explainer video here.
Although the term “One Health” is fairly new, the concept has long been recognized both nationally and globally. Since the 1800s, scientists have noted the similarity in disease processes among animals and humans, but human and animal medicine were practiced separately until the 20th century. In recent years, through the support of key individuals and vital events, the One Health concept has gained more recognition in the public health and animal health communities.
