- Over 13,500 boxes, equal to more than 270,000 COVID tests were distributed
- Collaborated with 35 different community partner organizations
- Reached over 17 cultural and ethic communities
The Clearwater School (TCS), and partners, WAGRO Foundation, Mujeres con Actitud Latina, Refugee and Immigrant Services Northwest, increased equitable engagement to COVID-19 testing by increasing access to take-home rapid tests and mobile testing services for K-12 students in multiple weekly events held April through July 2022, in Snohomish County. TCS and partners created educational materials in eight languages, hosted educational events, and served more than 15 language communities over the course of the project.
“Many people who speak Spanish do not know where to go or what to do when they contract COVID. There was a case where a person tested positive and did not know English and the team working with them did not know Spanish. It was lucky that we were there to attend to them since we could draw on our collaborations with other organizations.”
